PPCRV receives close to 80,000 poll returns

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has so far received a total of 79,226 election returns, it said on Wednesday, May 18.

This is as of 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and is equal to 73.54 percent of the 107,785 total number of precincts.

Most of the ERs came from North and South Luzon with a total of 45,892. A total of 10,046 from the National Capital Region (NCR); 16,033 from Visayas; and 7,295 from Mindanao.

No overseas ERs were received by the poll watchdog.

Operations at the Quadricentennial Pavilion of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Sampaloc, Manila will continue until Friday, May 18.

PPCRV’s data showed that as of Monday, May 16, a total of 54,412 physical ERs have already been fully encoded. Of this number, 53,644 matched the electronically-transmitted results, producing a match rate of 98.57 percent.
