Sibol MLBB to open SEAG campaign against Malaysia

The Sibol Mobile Legends team is set to open its campaign against Malaysia in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Vietnam National Convention Center on Wednesday, May 18.

The Philippine representatives, which is composed of the core players of the M3 World Champions Blacklist International in Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna and Salic “Hadji” Imam along with amateur standouts Dominic “Dominic” Soto and Howard “Owl” Gonzales, will have their games broadcasted through the MPL Philippines Facebook page and MLBB Esports YouTube channel which will be hosted by Filipino shoutcasters.

Contrary to the initial schedule, group stage will now be on May 18 and 19 while the Finals will now be earlier on May 20 instead of the initial finale on May 22.

After facing the Malaysian team composed of professional players from Todak at 9 a.m., the PH bets will next face Laos at 12 noon before rounding up its group stage schedule against Myanmar.

On the other hand, Group B consists of Indonesia, represented by athletes from MPL Indonesia powerhouses Onic Esports, RRQ Hoshi, and EVOS Legends. Vietnam and Singapore also fall under the same group.

Group stage will be in a best-of-two series.
