Barbie Imperial, Xian Lim embroiled in malicious rumor after hotel sighting

Another proof of social media toxicity?

Celebrities Barbie Imperial and Xian Lim became the subject of gossip after some netizens put malice in a photo of them together in a hotel.

Note the photo was posted by the hotel itself, Hotel Rosario Mati in Davao Oriental.

But it didn't stop the rumormongers.

As if it wasn't enough, some even tried to involve Xian's girlfriend Kim Chiu, tagging her.

Good thing she didn't react.

In any case, other netizens since defended the two.

"FYI THEY WERE HERE SA MATI CITY FOR A SHOW SA MITING DE AVANCE HAYS PEOPLE LOVE CHISMIS KAAYO," one wrote.

"They were both invited here in Mati City for political rally/campaign. Wag po issue agad. Kahit di po ako fan ni Kim Chiu as an artist pero her relationship with Xian Lim is one of my fave among showbiz couples," another added.

According to a netizen, the picture was taken on May 7.

"They were invited for a MITING DE AVANCE of a political party in Mati City. FREE-STAY sila sa hotel (separate rooms obviously) because they were considered as special guests."

This is not the first time that the hotel uploaded photos of its celebrity clients on Facebook.

Prior, they also uploaded photos of Darren Espanto, BoyBand PH, Tony Labrusca, Bela Padilla, Ivana Alawi, and Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados.
