Wanted man arrested in NCRPO, Pasay police joint operation


A man wanted for frustrated homicide was arrested in a joint “Oplan Galugad” operation conducted by members of the National Capital Region (NCRPO) 5th Mobile Force Company-Regional Mobile Force Battalion (MFC-RMFB) and the Pasay City police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on Saturday, May 14.

Col. Cesar Paday-os, city police chief, identified the suspect as Arnel Sarmiento, 56, a welder and resident of Pasay City.

Paday-os said members of the 5th MFC-RMFB and WSS conducted “Oplan Galugad” against wanted persons along Arnaiz St., Pasay City leading to the arrest of Sarmineto around 6:45 p.m.

The city police chief said Judge Elenita Dimaguila, of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 117 issued a warrant of arrest for Sarmiento on October 21, 2021.

Paday-os said the suspect is now detained at the Pasay City police custodial facility.
