PPCRV receives 61.77% of election returns

Church-based poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), on Monday, May 16, said that it has now received more than half of the country’s election returns (ERs).

As of 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 16, PPCRV disclosed that they have already received a total of 66,574 ERs. This is equivalent to at least 61.77 percent of the total ERs in the country.

It said that 40,292 of these poll returns came from north and south Luzon, 10,033 are from Metro Manila, 11,614 from Visayas, while only 4,635 are from Mindanao.

The poll watchdog’s data revealed that they have yet to receive ERs overseas.

Meanwhile, the church-backed poll watchdog disclosed that as of Saturday, May 14, a total of 40,521 physical ERs have already been encoded.

Of this number, 39,882 have matched the electronically-transmitted copies, producing a high match rate of 98.42 percent.

PPCRV’s operations will continue until Friday, May 20.
