Pasay City's public hospital gets 93% assessment ratings from DOH

The Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH), the city’s lone public hospital, received a 93 percent rating assessment on the Integrated Hospital Operations Management Program (IHOMP) under the Health Facility Development and Enhancement Unit (HFDEU) conducted by Department of Health (DOH) validators on Friday, May 13.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the 93 percent point ratings received by the PCGH was based on the IHOMP Self Assessment Tool and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Self-Assessment Tool after DOH validators conducted a check on the hospital facilities including its policies and health equipment.

She said the DOH validators conducted the assessment to determine whether the PCGH is giving effective and better health services.

The mayor said the Covid-19 pandemic is not an obstacle in her administration to improve the facilities of the city’s lone public hospital and continue to give better services.

Rubiano said the PCGH lobby was improved and was made favorable to those visiting the hospital, and enhanced the triage and emergency room, vaccination site and the magnetic resonance imaging located at the first floor.

She said the operating room was turned into a modernized radiology department and computerized tomography scan is now located at the second floor of the hospital.

The mayor said the pediatric ward is located at the third floor and the well sanitized Covid-19 ward is on the fourth floor.

Rubiano said the hospital is also giving hemodialysis treatment at the fifth floor.
