Pasay City gov't temporarily suspends vaccination at MOA Giga vax site

The Pasay City government announced that the conduct of “Vacc to the Future” vaccination at the Giga Vaccination Center in SM Mall of Asia (MOA) was temporarily suspended on May 16.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the administration of the first and second doses of Covid-19 vaccine for five to 18 years old will continue at 13 health centers in the city.

Rubiano said booster shots for 18 years old and above, including the second booster for immunocompromised individuals, will also be administered at the health centers.

She said the city government decided to temporarily halt administering vaccines at the MOA Giga Vaccination Center after acting officer of the City Health Office (CHO), Dra. Malou Ocampo, reported that they were vaccinating less than 100 persons per day.

Rubiano added that it will be more easier for residents to visit the health centers near their place to get vaccinated.

She advised them to visit their health centers to determine the time and date of vaccination.

The mayor said the city government continues to accept walk-ins at health centers, including non-Pasay City residents.
