Finnegan bags gold in women's vault final

Aleah Finnegan continued to deliver for Team Philippines after winning the gold medal in the women's vault final in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam Sunday, May 15.

Finnegan, who scored 13.133, only had a razor-thin lead over home bet and eventual silver medalist Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu of Vietnam.

Nguyen garnered 13.033 points while Rifda Irfanaluthfi, who clinched the gold in the individual all-around, delivered bronze for Indonesia with 12.817.

Finnegan also helped fellow Filipina gymnasts Chiara Andrew, Ancilla Lucia Mari Manzano, Lucia Gabriel Gutierrez, Kursten Rogue Lopez, and Ma. Cristina Loeranes to rule the team category on Saturday, May 14.

Finnegan also captured silver medal in the individual all-around behind Irfanaluthfi.
