SEASONS CHANGE: Angel Locsin roots for presumptive president, vice president, and senators 'for country's sake'

Kapamilya star Angel Locsin has expressed support for the presumptive president, vice president, and 12 senators "for our country's sake."

"For our country’s sake, I’m rooting for our presumptive president, vice president, & senators. I’m hoping they’ll do better than our past leaders ?? I am a Filipino citizen hoping to be proven wrong. Masasabi ko hong ikakasaya ko ho kung mali kami at tama kayo," wrote Angel in a lengthy post on Instagram on May 14.

Angel did not name names, but obviously, she was throwing her support for President-elect Bongbong Marcos, Vice President-elect Sara Duerte, and the 12 winning senators.

During the 2022 national election, Angel campaigned heavily for Vice President Leni Robredo. She thanked Leni for showing grace despite defeat.

"Thank you VP Leni for showing grace in defeat last night. A true leader indeed. Reminding us na isa sa mga ipinaglaban natin ay ang demokrasya. Magkaiba man tayo ng stand, we should honor democracy and listen to the majority bilang ka-isang bansa," Angel said.

"Naipit man sa traffic ng apat na oras, masaya’t nakahabol sa thanksgiving rally :)

"I understand na minsan mahirap, kaya kapag tingin ninyong kaya nyo na, ituloy ang “radikal na pagmamahal”. Otherwise, hanggang slogan lang pala tayo kung ganun.

"Despite everything, Saludo sa lahat ng tumindig ?? Hindi ko makakalimutan ang pagmamahal sa bayan na pinakita ninyo. Huwag hayaang mabalutan ng dilim ang liwanag na nasa puso ninyo. Ngayon, higit pa man, mas kailangan kayo ng bayan. Buksan ang inyong mga mata at puso para sa bayan.

"Kapag nalulumbay, pakinggan ang kantang “Rosas” at alalahain na hindi ka nagiisa. Karamay mo kami. Salamat Nica Del Rosario ? nasambit mo ang nararamdam ko. Napakaganda ng iyong pag kanta at pagkasulat ??
