4 arrested in Las Piñas drug-bust; over P85,000 worth of shabu seized

Police arrested three women and their male companion during a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of P85,680 worth of shabu in Las Pinas City on Saturday, May 14.

Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, identified the suspects as Adela Austriaco,63; Angelita Borromeo,43; Abegail Catamora and Franklin Mendigo, 31, all residents of Las Piñas City.

Santos said the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Las Piñas Station Drug Enforcement Unity (SDEU) around 1:45 .a.m. on Avocado St. in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.

The city police chief said members of the SDEU recovered from the suspects 12.6 grams of shabu, drug paraphernalia, aluminum foil, one disposable lighter, and the P300 used as buy-bust money.

The suspects are now detained at the Las Piñas City Police custodial facility. They were charged with illegal possession of drugs.

Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg congratulated the Team SPD for doing great in its campaign against illegal drugs.
