Robin Padilla taps Sal Panelo as 'adviser'

The Batman to his Robin.

This may have been in Robin Padilla's mind when he decided to tap fellow senatorial candidate Salvador Panelo as “legislative consultant, adviser, mentor.”

The actor-turned-politician took to Facebook recently to announce his decision.

According to Robin, there is need to have the lawyer by his side, noting “Kailangan ko ng pambato sa usapin ng batas pagdating sa senado.”

He added, “Ang pagpapalit ng saligang batas ay hindi magiging madali sapagkat ang babanggain nito ay ang kasalukuyang naghaharing mga oligarko nakakubli sa 1987 constitution.”

He went on, “Hindi man kami nagtagumpay ni idol Salvador Panelo na maging magkasama sa senado. Isa lang ang sinigurado namin dalawa, walang mababago sa aming adhikaing pagbabago. Walang makakapigil sa rebolusyon...”

Note that Panelo is now a recording artist, having released his own version of the iconic "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas."
