NCT Dream, Stray Kids, TWICE, Red Velvet album sales awarded certifications

The albums of K-pop groups NCT Dream, Stray Kids, TWICE and Red Velvet have been certified platinum to double million based on sales.

The Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) issued the new certifications on May 12 through the Gaon Music Chart for album sales in Korea and streaming.

NCT Dream’s “Glitch Mode” has been certified double million for reaching two million copies in sales. The group’s second studio album was released on March 28.

On the other hand, K-pop boy band Stray Kids’ four albums received certifications. Their mini-album “Oddinary,” released on March 18, was certified million for selling one million copies.

The group’s single album “Christmas EveL,” released on Nov. 28, received triple platinum certification for reaching sales of 750,000 copies.

Stray Kids’ “Go Live,” released on June 17, 2020, was certified double platinum with 500,000 copies in sales and “I am YOU,” released on Oct. 22, 2018, was certified platinum for getting 250,000 copies in sales.

Meanwhile, girl group TWICE’s “Formula of Love: O+T=

Red Velvet’s “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm,” released last March 21, was certified double platinum with 500,000 copies in sales.

Under the KMCA rules, albums reaching 250,000 in sales will be certified platinum while those with one million in sales will be certified million.

In streaming, KMCA issued platinum certifications to “Stay” by The The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, “Foolish Love’ by MSG Wannabe and “Beach Again” by SSAK3.

Songs with 100 million streams are certified platinum while those getting one billion streams are certified billion.
