Marijuana, shabu seller arrested in Calamba

LAGUNA -- Some P130,000 worth of shabu and marijuana were confiscated from a drug suspect arrested during a buy-bust operation in Calamba City on Tuesday afternoon.

P/Col. Cecilio Ramos Ison Jr., acting provincial director of Police Provincial Office (Laguna), identified the suspect as Victor Tolarba, 30, a resident of Brgy. 2 in this city.

Ison said that the suspect was arrested around 4:20 p.m. at Angels Nest, Barangay Turbina in the said city after selling illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer in exchange of P1,000.

Police confiscated seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1.5 grams with an estimated value of P10,200, a brick of dried fruiting leaves of marijuana with estimated weight of one kilogram and estimated value of P120,000.

The police also confiscated P400 drug money, and recovered P1,000 buy-bust money.
