Comelec to limit companions of winning senators during proclamation
Potential winning senators in the May 9 polls take note.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will be limiting the number of companions of the winning senators when they are proclaimed at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum Tent in Pasay City.
"We have to remind our potential senators elect, this time we will be limiting their companion just like what we did during the filing of the certificate of candidacy," Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said in a press briefing Thursday, May 12.
"We are still in a pandemic. We are still under Alert Level 1...we will comply with the minimum public health standards," he added.
Due to the continued threat of the Covid-19, the poll body limited the number of companions of COC filers as part of their health and safety measures.
Candidates from President to Senator were allowed a maximum of three companions while Party-Lists were allowed to have one companion.
