8 drug suspects arrested in Pasay and Las Pinas

Eight drug suspects were arrested in separate drug-bust operations conducted by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in Pasay and Las Pinas cities.

In Pasay City, Col. Cesar Paday-os, city police chief, identified the suspects as Sonny Brinosa, 25; Niko Javier, 27; Joel Yugas, 27; all residents of Makati City; John Carlo Ramos, 19; Mary Joy Ramos, 38; and Khristian Medrano, 42; all residents of Pasay City.

Paday-os said Brinosa, Javier, and Yugas were arrested around 10:30 p.m. along Mary Luz St., Pasay City. Confiscated from them were 2.1 grams of shabu place inside four plastic sachets with a market value of P14,628.

He said operations conducted by members of the SDEU will continue.

Three other drug suspects were arrested around 1:15 a.m. on May 12 and confiscated from them were 4.10 grams of shabu worth P27,880 and 1.8 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P216.

In Las Pinas City, Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, identified the suspects as Edmund Aguilar, 25; and John Patrick Samonte,19; both residents of Las Pinas City.

Santos said the suspects were arrested by members of SDEU along Phase 4 Barangay CAA, Las Pinas City around 11:30 p.m. and confiscated from them were 2.8 grams of shabu worth P19,040.

The suspects are now detained and charged with illegal possession of drugs.
