The camp of presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. on Wednesday welcomed Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso's move to concede defeat in the May 2022 presidential race.

“Moreno’s call for respect of the election results, appeal for people not to join any disturbance, unity and support for those chosen by the electorate is highly commendable and shows his quality statesmanship and genuine patriotism,” said Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Marcos' spokesperson in a statement on Wednesday, May 11.
“Indeed, the mode to drive forward without any delay right after the conclusion of this political exercise should be the case. As we all agree and recognize that the will of the people is law, we also recognize that we are facing inevitable challenges ahead as a nation,” he added.
Domagoso, on May 10, declared his concession from the 2022 palace race after unofficial results showed him in fourth place.
