Experts invited by PPCRV have yet to see irregularities in partial, unofficial count

Poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said the experts they invited have yet to see irregularities in the partial, unofficial count of election results.

Lawyer Vann Dela Cruz, PPCRV legal director, said they have invited experts to look into alleged irregularities in the electronically transmitted results but as of Wednesday afternoon, May 11, they have yet to find any irregularities.

"Meron po tayong mga inimbitahan na mga volunteers natin, mga delegations natin na dalubhasa sa kani-kanilang different fields and base po sa kanilang pagsusuri, ay wala pong nakikitang iregularidad (We have invited volunteers, delegations who are experts in their fields and based on their findings, there is still no irregularities seen)," Dela Cruz said.

The lawyer also disclosed that the experts are "working on something" which they will be sharing to the public once completed.

"They (experts) are working on something and we will be able to share this with you kung ano po itong kanilang ginawang pagsusuri (their findings). Prepare a report, maybe consolidate what these findings are. Definitely we'll prepare that and we'll share it with you," he said.

"As of this time, wala pa (irregularities)," he added.

Meanwhile, PPCRV Chairperson Myla Villanueva clarified that they did not announce any discrepancy issue on the unofficial count.

"Wala po tayong sinabi na may discrepancy, ang ginagawa po namin ngayon, ay naghihintay pa tayo ng isang araw para mas dumami ang ating election returns (We did not announce any discrepancy, what we are doing now is waiting for another day for the election returns to increase). Perhaps, starting tomorrow, we're going to release yung (the) percentage match like we did in 2019," Villanueva said. 0

"There is no discrepancy that we reported. We have not reported anything in terms of the matches kasi we plan to do that tomorrow," she added.
