Senior high school student shot dead by riding-in-tandem in Quezon province

QUEZON – Unidentified motorcycle-riding tandem shot dead a senior high school student while standing near a gasoline station late Monday afternoon in Catanaun town in this province.

Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) public information officer Lt. Lovelynn Lalunio identified the victim as Vincent Cabangon, 22, a resident of Barangay Madulao in Catanauan town.

The victim was waiting for a passenger jeepney along with his uncle Eric Cabangon near a gasoline station in Brgy. Madulao around 5:30 p.m. when the suspects, on board a red motorcycle, arrived and shot the victim.

According to the witness, one of the suspects was wearing black jacket and blue cap. After the incident suspects fled towards General Luna town.

Police are still conducting investigation and follow-up operations to determine the suspects' motive in the killing.
