Mariel Rodriguez, Liezl Sicangco congratulate Robin Padilla

Actress-television host Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla congratulated her husband, action star Robin Padilla who is leading the Senate race in the partial and unofficial tally.

“My Senator (green heart emoji) is #1 (loudly crying face emojis),” she wrote on Instagram. “We are beyond grateful!!! Pilipinas, maraming maraming salamat.”

Robin’s ex-wife and the mother of his four children, Liezl Sicangco, also extended her congratulatory message.

“To the father of my children, Congratulations!!! May Allah always protect you and your team. Ameen,” she posted on her social media account.

Robin and Liezl’s daughter, actress Kylie Padilla also showed support to her father.

On Instagram, she uploaded the clip of Robin doing an interview with GMA.

There, Robin could be heard saying: “Alam ko naman po, batid ko naman po na itong tagumpay na ito hindi patungkol kay Robin Padilla kung hindi tagumpay po ito ng reporma.”

According to partial and unofficial votes as of 10:17 a.m. Tuesday, Padilla had 26,057,708 votes.

Robin is followed by Loren Legarda and Raffy Tulfo who have 23,698,403 and 22,908,984 votes, respectively.
