Majority of local candidates in Rizal Province proclaimed

Majority of the winners in the local elections in Rizal Province have been proclaimed by the municipal boards of canvassers as of 3 p.m. on May 10.

Atty. Mitzele Veron l. Morales-Castro, Rizal provincial election supervisor, told Manila Bulletin that although all 14 localities in Rizal Province have submitted election results to the provincial board of canvassers, Antipolo City and Rodriguez town have yet to proclaim the winners.

Among the winners proclaimed by the respective local board of canvassers are:

In Antipolo, returning mayor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares III and reelectionist Vice Mayor Josefina Gatlabayan were scheduled to be proclaimed at 6 p.m. on May 10.

In Rodriguez town, Ronnie Evangelista and Edgardo Sison, mayoral and vice mayoral candidate, respectively, are still awaiting their proclamation.
