Senator Risa Hontiveros is the lone opposition senatorial candidate poised to enter the Senate "Magic 12" of the 2022 elections.
Based on election results of Commission on Elections' (Comelec) transparency server as of 1:02 p.m. of Tuesday, Hontiveros ranked 11th, with 15,185,468 total votes.

The reelectionist lawmaker ran under progressive group Akbayan partylist and under the ticket of presidential hopeful Vice President Leni Robredo, who was a critic of the Duterte administration.
If she continues her lead against 63 other senatorial bets, Hontivers will be one of the only two female senators to enter—or remain in—the 19th Congress. She will join current Antique Rep. Loren Legarda, who is ranking second in the unofficial, partial election results.
Hontiveros had been a senator since 2016. From 2004 to 2016, she served as a party-list representative representing Akbayan.
In her senate stint, she became the proponent of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression Equality Bill or Anti-Discrimination Bill.
She was also a leading opposition critic of the Duterte administration's war on drugs.
