DOH still aiming to fully vaccinate 8-9 million Filipinos vs Covid-19 before Duterte's term ends

The national government is still aiming to fully vaccinate at least eight to nine million Filipinos against Covid-19 by the end of Duterte's administration in June, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
“If our target is 77 million hanggang sa dulo ng Hunyo (by the end of June), we’re looking at around eight to nine million still individuals to be vaccinated by the end of June this year,” said DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire on Tuesday, May 10.
More than 68 million Filipinos have already been fully vaccinated against the viral disease as of May 9, said Vergeire.
Meanwhile, the DOH spokesperson urged Filipinos who are already eligible to get their booster shots.
Vergeire said that 13.5 million adult Filipinos already received their booster shots.
“More than 38.7 million are not yet boosted. The DOH is highly encouraging you to get the jab,” she said.
