Fil-American diver Ariana Drake missed out on a podium finish by a slim margin after settling for fourth place in the women’s 3-meter springboard at the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the My Dinh Water Sports Palace in Vietnam.
The 17-year-old Drake, who is in her first SEAG appearance, posted 229.80 points to trail behind eventual bronze medalist Fong Kay Yian of Singapore by 0.35 points.
Fong tallied 230.15 points.
Malaysia made a 1-2 finish with Ng Yan Yee taking home the gold medal with 270.60 points and Ong Ker Ying clinching the silver with 242.40 points.
This was the second time that Drake missed out on a podium finish after also settling for fourth in the women’s 1M springboard two days ago.
Drake was the country’s lone representative in the sport.
