Bong Go to incoming new admin: Continue the Duterte admin legacy

Senator Christopher "Bong" Go on Tuesday renewed his appeal to Filipinos to uphold the sanctity of the elections and respect the results that would come after.

Go made the appeal hours after partial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) show former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. leading in the May 2022 elections,

The senator earlier urged voters to choose wisely in order to ensure the continuity of the Duterte administration's ongoing efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Kung sino ‘yung makakapagpatuloy... Nakita ninyo naman ngayon maganda ‘yung takbo ng ating COVID response. Dahil iyan sa pamumuno ng ating mahal na Pangulong (Rodrigo) Duterte (whoever can continue...You have seen how we had a good Covid-19 response. And that is because of our President Duterte’s leadership,” Go said in an interview.

“Importante ngayon papaano maipagpapatuloy ‘yon at makabalik na tayo sa normal nating pamumuhay sana. Iyon naman po ang inaasam natin dito (What is important now is how we can continue and return back to our normal living. That is what we also aspire here),” he added.

With President Duterte's term coming to an end, Go assured Filipinos that as a lawmaker, he will continue the efforts of the current administration in providing a safer and more comfortable life for all.

He said that includes programs like the Build, Build, Build, the Malasakit program and other projects for the poor.

“Iyon lang naman ang inaasam namin ni Pangulong Duterte, ipagpatuloy ninyo ‘yung magagandang programa to make life safer and more comfortable para sa mga Pilipino (That’s the only thing we hope for, that you continue the good programs to make life safer and more comfortable for the Filipino),” he reiterated.
