OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David said the new Covid-19 cases in NCR rose from 79 (April 17 to 23) to 85 (April 24 to 30.)

He noted that despite the uptick, remains at "low risk" classification as of April 30.

According to him, the reproduction number, or the average number of secondary infections by each infected individual, increased to 0.79 from 0.66.

David said the positivity rate in NCR remained at 1.4 percent over an average test of 11,544 tests per day.

Positivity rate refers to the number of individuals who yielded positive results among those who were tested for Covid-19.

OCTA, meanwhile, said that the healthcare utilization rate for Covid-19 is at 21 percent, saying such is “very low.”
