Pacquiao says 'true Christians support fellow Christians'

Presidential aspirant Senator Emmanuel 'Manny' Pacquiao believes that if "you really are a true Christian, you will support a Christian."

"You will support your brother," he added during his campaign activity in Batangas on Friday. Pacquiao is the only vocal devout Christian who is running for the presidency in the 2022 polls.

The PROMDI party standard bearer also expressed confidence that the Christian church followers are voting as a block and will back his Palace bid in the upcoming elections.

He made the pronouncement as his camp said they felt an "outpouring of support" from various Christina denominations in the country.

"I am sure isa lang naman ang paniniwalaan amin (we believe in the same faith), the same spirit distributed among us. So I am sure na nagtutulungan kami, nagkakaisa kami lalo na at magkakapatid kami sa Panginoon (we will help each other, especially that we are brothers in the eyes of God)," he said.

His camp also believed that "the love of God bound members of the Christian faith to take a united stand in pursuing their religious beliefs."
