Celebrity Kakampinks 'laos?' Rita Avila reacts

Rita Avila took to social media recently to address insinuation about celebrities supportive of VP Leni Robredo's presidential bid supposedly being "laos."

She wrote: "Lahat na lang ng kakampink na artista o singer ay sinabihan ng LAOS. Mas laos ang mga nagfafollow sa min o nagpupunta sa socmed account namin para mamintas lang. Kaya namin yan. Kasama sa trabaho namin yan eh."

"Besides, sumusuporta kami bilang FILIPINO CITIZENS, para sa buhay nating lahat lalo na yung nasa laylayan," she related. "Wala ng arti-artista dito. Bilang TAO katulad nyo ay gusto din namin ng maayos na pamumuhay para sa LAHAT ng Pilipino. Kasama kayo."

She added in jest: "P.S. Kayo na ang SIKAT, ako ay simpleng tao lamang."

In another post, Rita said, "Yung mga nagbibintang ng LAOS, they measure us (actors/singers/performers) the way they think we have to be measured; but it is not always how we measure ourselves. Sorry pero hindi lahat ay hanap ang maging SIKAT. Kahinaan ng isang tao ang gusto laging maging MALAKI sa mata ng mga tao."

She also cleared, "FAME? Masarap na mahirap yan. May sakripisyong kasama yan. Pwedeng mawala ang tunay na pagkatao mo. Nakakalunod. Minsan, di naman ganun kasaya. Pero kung marunong kang umahon at i-salba ang true persona mo, panalo ka."

Rita went on, "INSTANT GRATIFICATION? Ung dami ng fans? Lakas ng tili? Dami ng followers at likes sa socmed? Isama na natin ang INSTANT PERA na bayad para umattend kayo ng rallies o para iboto ang isang politiko? Parang ang SAYA ano? LUMILIPAS lahat yan. Sa huli, ang tunay na kaligayahan ay manggagaling sa kapayapaan ng kalooban dahil nakatuntong ka sa lupa, nagmamahal at minamahal, tumanda na napagbuti ang sarili sa mga pinagdaanan."

She then urged followers to vote wisely.

"Magnilay mga kapatid at anak kong Pilipino. Sa eleksyong ito, hawak mo ang sarili mo. Ikaw ang maghuhubog kung ano ka na pagkatapos ng mga naging pagsubok sa iyo."
