Justin Brownlee assured that he will be good to go for Game 3 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals after twisting his ankle during Barangay Ginebra’s 99-93 win over Meralco.

Brownlee was able to make a significant impact in the contest held Friday, April 8 at the Mall of Asia Arena despite getting hurt when he stepped on the foot of Cliff Hodge while going for a shot early in the fourth quarter.
The frontrunner for the Best Import award was glad that it was not as bad as he first thought.
“Initially, I thought it was worse than it was,” Brownlee told reporters after emerging from the locker room with his son who flew from the United States.
“But now, it’s okay. Not too much pain, little bit of soreness, but I think it’s gonna be okay,” he added.
He scored 36 points on 12-of-18 from the field after shooting a conference-low 7-of-20 despite 27 points in Ginebra’s 104-91 loss in Game 1 last Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
His dunk after taking the ball from Chris Banchero with the Gin Kings up 94-91 sealed the deal with 1:22 left as they were able to thwart off the Bolts rally in the fourth.
“It really feels good to be tied, but it's not satisfying because we know we still have more work to do,” he said.
“That's what we intended to do coming out (In Game 2). We were trying to do whatever we could to try to tie the series up and try to move from there.”
