14 Navotas City barangays record no Covid-19 active cases on April 8
Fourteen out of the 18 barangays in Navotas City listed zero Covid-19 active cases on Friday, April 8.
These are barangays Bagumbayan North and South, Daanghari, Navotas East and West, NBBN, NBBS Kaunlaran, NBBS Proper, San Jose, San Rafael Village, San Roque, Sipac-Almacen, Tangos North, and Tanza 1.
The local government said that the city only has seven active Covid-19 cases as of Friday.
Barangays Balungcasi, NBBS Dagatdagatan, and Tanza 2 each have two active cases while Tangos South documented only one.
“Mabibilang na sa daliri ang mga aktibong kaso sa ating lungsod. Ituloy lang po natin ang pagsunod sa mga health and safety protocols, lalo na ang tamang pagsuot ng face mask, at kumpletuhin ang bakuna at booster (The active cases in our city can be counted on one hand. Let us continue to follow the health and safety protocols, especially the proper wearing of the face mask, and complete vaccination and booster),” Mayor Toby Tiango said.
The city’s active Covid-19 cases recorded since the start of the month of April were consistent to be less than 10 cases.
As of April 8, Navotas City has recorded a total of 21,122 Covid-19 cases with 20,472 recoveries (96.9 percent of total) and 643 deaths (3.0 percent).
Meanwhile, the local government also announced that the services in their mega-swabbing facility, vaccination sites, and “NavoGabay”, a telemedicine program that provides information about Covid-19 to its residents, will temporarily be halted on April 14 (Maundy Thursday) until April 17 (Easter Sunday) in observance of the Holy Week.
All services, including the Covid-19 second dose vaccinations will resume on Monday, April 18.
