Mylene Dizon, Macoy Dubs, Peralejo sisters to join house-to-house campaign for Robredo

After last week's successful launch, more celebrities will join the latest round of house-to-house campaigns for Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential bid on Saturday, April 9, her campaign team said.

Actress Mylene Dizon will go house-to-house in Pampanga, while sisters Rica Peralejo and Paula Peralejo will convince Tarlac voters to choose Robredo in the May elections.

Actress Agot Isidro and singer Zion Aguirre will go around Caloocan, while social media influencer Macoy Dubs will be in Baguio on the same day.

Aika Robredo will join volunteers and supporters in Cebu; Robredo's sister-in-law Dr. Penny Robredo-Bundoc will be in Bukidnon, while the Vice President's niece Dr. Gaile Robredo-Vitas is slated to visit Laguna.

"It's a win for me because those places are what we are after in a house-to-house campaign. We don't do house-to-house to make us feel good about, 'Ah ang dami nating Leni, etc.," Aika said in an interview.

"I think the reason why my sisters and I are more comfortable with house-to-house is that it seems better for me than the rallies in the sense that you get a better sense of the person you're talking to," she added.

On Sunday (April 10), Aika will go around various areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) while her sister Tricia will lead house-to-house activities in Albay.

Contrary to their experience on social media, Aika said most of the people who support other candidates are friendlier and more receptive during their face-to-face interaction.

“We both experienced being heckled a couple of times by supporters of other candidates. Pero pag nilapitan naman sila, maayos pa rin ang pakikitungo,” she said.

"Mgandang paalala din para sa ating lahat na hindi talaga tayo ang magkakalaban,” she added.

The house-to-house campaign was successfully launched last week, with some 10,000 volunteers and supporters joining in various parts of the country. It highlights the Vice President's "Oplan Angat Agad" platform, which is focused on employment, health, and education.

Under her "Oplan Angat Agad" platform, Robredo aims to ensure that at least one family member receives a monthly salary. At the same time, those who lost their job will get three-month financial assistance while looking for employment.

When it comes to health, Vice President Robredo has committed to providing every family with free doctors and making health care affordable for all Filipinos. She also aims to provide quality education to students to help them secure their dream jobs in the future.
