Over P20-M worth of shabu seized, 2 nabbed in Nueva Ecija drug sting

Anti-narcotics authorities seized more than P20 million worth of shabu after the arrest of two suspected big time illegal drug traders in a buy-bust operation in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday, April 6.

In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said suspects Sittie Pindatun, 30; and Nor-an Bilal, 26; both of Dasmariñas City Cavite, are well known major illegal drug distributors in the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.

The operating teams seized two sealed green plastic tea bags containing white crystalline substance and 10 knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing more or less three kilograms of shabu, marked money and two Smart cellular phones in Barangay Sumacab Este.

Pindatun and Bilal face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’

The buy-bust operation was carried out by the PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office and the local police forces. (Chito A. Chavez)
