Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced that 11 barangays in the city are now free from Covid-19 based on the report by the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) and the City Health Office (CHO) on Wednesday, April 6.
Olivarez said the remaining communities with Covid-19 cases are Barangays BF with four, Don Bosco with two, Sto. Nino, Tambo and San Isidro with one each.
He said the city recorded five new cases bringing the total number of active cases of Covid-19 to 10.
The mayor said the 10 patients are being monitored and treated by the city doctors and nurses.
Olivarez told residents to continue observing the health protocols and aim for zero cases of Covid-19 in all the 16 barangays in the city.
He said around 98.43 percent or 50,040 recoveries and 786 deaths have been recorded in the city.
