Ryan Agoncillo opens up on past battle with alopecia

Actor-TV host Ryan Agoncillo once struggled with alopecia.

He revealed this in a recent episode of "Eat Bulaga!"

It all started with a "Bawal Judgemental" contestant sharing how her daughter has the autoimmune disorder.

Ryan related, "Ako mismo ay diagnosed na may alopecia."

"Mga 17 (years old ako) nung na-diagnose ako."

The 42-year-old shared that he had steroid injections to mitigate the disorder.

"Kada linggo injection...steroidal," he said.

It took some time said Ryan inasmuch as it reoccurs periodically.

"'Yung sa akin, recurring siya. Every few years. Hindi ako umabot yung total yung baldness. Pero umabot ako na yung mga ano, not even a patch, as big as my hand, wala akong buhok sa likod," he continued.

It is as such that Ryan started to grow her hair long.

"Tinatakpan ko yung bald spot," he related.
