BTS members talk about failing to win at 64th Grammy Awards

K-pop idol group BTS discussed their feelings about not winning at the 64th Grammy Awards held on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

They failed to win the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Butter,” which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The award was given to “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat featuring SZA. Other nominees in the category were “I Get A Kick Out Of You” by Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, “Lonely” by Justin Bieber & Benny Blanco, “Higher Power” by Coldplay.

After attending the Grammy Awards, BTS held a live broadcast on Naver V Live and talked about their experience at the Grammys.

"Thanks to ARMYs, we've been able to try this again. It's too bad we didn't win, but simply having been here has been meaningful nonetheless," said Jimin, SBS News reported.

For Jungkook, it was an “all great experience for us."

V agreed, saying, "Yeah. Honestly, we got to watch so many amazing performances. So this has been extremely motivating for us."

Suga said what they have done is “amazing.”

"Guys, I don't think we need to feel sad about this. What we've done is already amazing," he said.

RM was candid to say that he was sad after BTS failed to win the award.

"I mean, what else to say? I'm not too happy about it, and that's the truth. I think it's good to be honest. I'll be sad today, but I'm going to be okay tomorrow," said RM.

RM said, "We're going to have our feelings tonight, but by tomorrow, we will eventually feel better and be right back at it."

BTS earlier posted on Twitter, “‘We always love you, ARMY.”

After the Grammys, BTS will hold their “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” concert on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 at Allegiant Stadium.
