Barangay councilor dies in motorcycle accident in Rosales, Pangasinan
ROSALES, Pangasinan – A barangay councilor who was not wearing a helmet died after his motorcycle hit a concrete post on Friday, April 29, in Barangay Guiling, Rosales, Pangasinan.
Rosales police identified the victim as Tony Sarmiento Jr., 42, a resident of Brgy. San Isidro, in Rosales.
According to the investigators, Sarmiento was driving his black single motorcycle without a helmet. He was going home after visiting his relatives in Barangay Guiling.
The accident happened at around 6:25 p.m. The victim hit a concrete electric post and skidded on the farmland.
Due to the strong impact, Sarmiento sustained multiple severe injuries, and died on the spot.
He was brought by the responding ambulance of the Rosales Infirmary Unit to Conrado F. Estrella Regional Medical and Trauma Center, in Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan.
