A Picture of Apl.de.Ap as among "artists" supporting the tandem of presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has been circulating online.

But the Filipino-American rapper quickly cleared via a tweet, "Country over party. Not endorsing any candidate."

A netizen then replied to The Black Eyed Peas member: "Thank you for confirming this, it's much appreciated. Just a heads up, it seems like a lookalike was hired by the Marcos Jr-Duterte campaign team to pose as you. Stay well."
