More than 11 million voters in 2022 polls from vulnerable sector, says Comelec
There are more than 11 million registered voters who are members of the vulnerable sector in the May 2022 polls.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Aimee Ferolino said of the 11,324,724 total, 511,612 are persons with disability; 10,085,956 senior citizens; 60,848 persons deprived of liberty; and indigenous people 666,308.
Meanwhile, Ferolino said companions of persons with physical disability and circuit mobility issues and motor restrictions, such as tremors, will now be allowed inside polling precincts.
She said the additional guidelines for companions of vulnerable sectors was approved by the en banc Wednesday.
"Before only the PWD is allowed," said Ferolino.
"That would restrict the effective filing out of forms and ballots," she added.
