HAKOT QUEEN! Michelle Dee bags six special awards at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminaries

Actress-model Michelle Dee has received the most number of recognitions during the preliminaries of this year's Miss Universe Philippines competition.

The beauty pageant titleholder, who was crowned Miss World Philippines 2019, snatched six special awards - Miss Medical City, Miss SavePoint, Miss Jojo Bragais, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Cream Silk, and Miss Kumuniverse.

The daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez also gave an ace performance during the preliminary swimsuit and evening gown rounds.

Aside from the 27-year-old finalist from Makati, the candidates from Bohol, Pauline Cucharo; Taguig, Katrina Llegado; and Pasay, Celeste Cortesi, also received two special awards each.

Meanwhile, Miss Nueva Vizcaya, Gillian Katherine De Mesa; Miss Cebu City, Chantal Elise Legaspi Schmidt; Miss Cebu Province, Lou Dominique Piczon; Miss Pangasinan, Ivylou Borbon; Miss Palawan, Angelica Lopez; Miss San Juan, Danielle Camcam; and Miss Mandaue, Isabel Dalag Luche, also won special awards.

Reigning Miss Universe Philippines Bea Gomez will crown her successor, along with Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu as a special guest, at the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Finals at the SM Mall of Asia on April 30.

The coronation night will also feature former beauty queens - Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow - as hosts.
