It’s official. Katrina Dimaranan, the 28-year-old model and beauty queen from Taguig, is retiring from pageantry.
Katrina discussed this in a lengthy social media post, expressing gratefulness to people she met along the way.
"I am eternally grateful for all of the memories I’ve shared with all of you, especially those who were with me since day one of this incredible journey," she related.
According to her, she's "happy" and at "peace" that she can finally close the said chapter of her life and move forward to attain other goals.
"I am extremely touched by the love, laughs and support many of you have given me and continue to give to me!," she maintained.

Meanwhile, Katrina is sad to reveal she will be absent at the grand coronation night of this year's Miss Universe Philippines, explaining, "Along with issues with my US residency, I have been occupied and focused with my nursing career and believe me, I really tried to make it work."
"I do want to take this opportunity to look back at my pageant journey. From 18yrs old to now 28, my 10 year magical journey that was and is a vital part of my life."
"All those sleepless nights, crying behind the scenes, the sisterhood, the celebrations, and the victories and the losses— I am beyond grateful. I will miss those moments," she added.
"This journey helped me accept that my past, my hardships actually inspired someone to aim for greatness and follow their dreams."
She then advised supporters: "Pursue the best version yourselves, and for one more time, I want to say 'Laban mga bes,' and I hope you go reach for your dreams, and I would love to know if I ever become part of it— because this time I will be here cheering for you, like you did for me."
She ended the post: "With endless love, Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2012, Miss Supranational 2018 1st RU, Miss Universe Philippines - Tourism 2021, Katrina Jayne Dimaranan, Your Bes."
