Baron Geisler earns degree in Theology

Baron Geisler has finally received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology.

He took to social media on Monday to share with fans photos taken during his graduation rites held the same day at the All Nations College in Rizal.

In an interview, Baron expressed elation having completed his goal.

“Siyempre, masaya ako, thankful, may degree na ako,” he said. “I feel so blessed na finally, nakamit ko na ang matagal ko nang pangarap.”

Baron began his studies in 2019, following a stint in rehab for alcohol dependence.

“Actually pinili ko siya as course kasi...marami akong problema e. Marami akong character defects and studying theology keeps me grounded. It has kept me sane,” he explained.

“I might take another course, higher education maybe, not only for myself but for my daughter. I want to improve my parenting skills,” he added.

He made clear he is not turning his back on showbiz.

“No. Kaya naman pagsabayin e. I mean, nagawa ko naman even nga may pandemic so I think it could be done.”

Only a few days ago, Baron made headlines with his wife, Jamie, coming out to reveal he has taken to the bottle again.

“Grabe ang pagrelapse niya,” she was quoted as saying in a report.

Baron, acknowledged this, relating he has since gone back to Bulacan to live with his “sponsors.”

“Sila ‘yung tumutulong sa akin in me revisiting my program, my steps, para ang focus ko nandun ulit,” the actor related.

“Nobody’s perfect. Tao lang. In recovery, it’s normal to slip. The good thing is my program does not condemn me or my sickness.”

He went on, "It helps that I’m aware I have problems, and I know I have to mature as a Christian not only for myself but for my family especially my baby Talitha.”
