Mayor Olivarez encourages seniors to get 2nd booster shot

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez has encouraged all senior citizens in the city to receive their second booster shot, particularly the immunocompromised, for them to get additional protection against Covid-19.

Olivarez emphasized to senior citizens who attended the general assembly held at Sun Valley Subdivision the importance of getting the second booster shot which the national government rolled out on Monday, April 25.

He said they can visit their barangays where the vaccination is being held.

The mayor also promised the senior citizens 60 to 70 years old will receive P500 as birthday gift and another P500 as Christmas gift.

Olivarez said senior citizens belonging to the 75 to 80 age bracket will receive P2,000 as birthday and Christmas gift and P5,000 for those who are 85 years old and above.

He said the distribution of birthday and Christmas gifts to the senior citizens will be made after the election.

The mayor said the city government is also giving free flu and anti-pneumonia vaccines to senior citizens.
