DepEd to conduct National Science and Technology Fair 2022

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday, April 26, announced that it will be conducting National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) for the school year (S.Y.) 2021-2022.

The event, however, will be celebrated virtually due to the lingering threat of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, with the theme, “Expanding the Horizon: Futures of STEM,” DepEd stressed that the event will empower the youth and cultivate innovation and creativity amid the “changing world.”

“The NSTF also aims to showcase the competence of the learners in addressing community problems for sustainable development and to maximize their potential of being inquisitive and creative in dealing with real-life problems,” said DepEd.

DepEd likewise emphasized that participation in the said event is voluntary. The Department also instructed its regional offices to conduct their own “selection and screening process” for the entries of participants.

National finalists for the event's competitions will be announced on Aug. 1 to Aug. 5, said DepEd.
