Two motorcycle-riding men shot dead in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon -- Two motorcycle-riding men were shot dead by still unidentified suspects on Sunday afternoon.

The Candelaria PNP identified the victims as Antonio Ilagan, 32, and Ericksel Canchella, 27. Both were residents of Barangay Concepcion 1 in Sariaya town.

According to the probers, the victims left the drinking spree they attended in Barangay Concepcion 1 at around 3:30 p.m., and proceeded towards the barangay road of Mangilag Sur here.

Thereafter, their dead bodies which bore gunshot wounds were found in an uninhabited and secluded area.

Candelaria police chief Col. Arnulfo Selencio said the two victims may have been called up by the suspects and instructed to proceed to the area where their dead bodies were found.

“Posibleng may tumawag sa cellphone sa dalawa at inutusan na magtungo sa nasabing lugar sa hindi malamang dahilan," said Selencio.

The police are looking for possible witnesses who may have been in the area at that time. The police are still conducting investigation to determine the motives in the killing and the identities of the suspects.

Police recovered empty shells for a .45 caliber pistol and super .38 revolver in the crime scene.
