Pacquiao urges Comelec to give him, other bets 'more time to answer' during pre-taped interviews
Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao on Monday appealed to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to give candidates enough time to answer and talk about their platforms during the last debate.
Pacquiao made the pronouncement as the poll body said it would no longer be pushing with the supposed presidential and vice presidential town hall debate following a debt fiasco and will do a pre-taped interview with the bets instead.
While there had been multiple times when the presidentiables answered big national issues, Pacquiao said, he still wants the poll body to give them ample time to talk, so the public can listen carefully.
Through this, we can give our voters the knowledge to decide right on the day of the elections)," he said.
