Glaiza De Castro tied the knot with Irishman David Rainey October last year.

Many fans are expecting the two to go on and try to conceive immediately.

Not the case though.

In a recent virtual huddle, Glaiza told us she’s not ready to be a mom just yet.

“Medyo matagal-tagal pa kasi nga parang gusto ko muna i-enjoy ‘yung time namin ni David, gusto pa naming mag-travel,” she said.

If the time comes, she also wants to be prepared “mentally, spiritually, physically.”

“Kasi parang may nagsasabi sa akin na ang pagbubuntis ay parang nag-re-ready ka sa marathon.”

Being married has changed Glaiza’s approach to accepting roles.

Where before she’s ready to take on anything, she’s kind of more cautious now.

“Of course, may effect ‘yun. Na siyempre parang ngayon iniisip ko na mapapanood ‘to ng anak ko. Ngayon na parang lahat nasa archive na ng internet so ang hirap na pag may ginawa ka na isang project, tapos ikinahihiya mo, or parang hindi ka masyadong confident ishare ‘yun sa pamilya mo," she said.

She added, “Lalo na sa mga magiging anak mo. Of course, may epekto ‘yun sa mga magiging desisyon mo pagdating sa pagtatanggap ng mga roles. Pero, ever since naman lagi kong chinachallenge ‘yun sarili ko kung hanggang saan ‘yung kaya ko in terms of capabilities ko bilang actor.”
