The 7-foot-3 cager had seven points, three rebounds and one block in 14 minutes off the bench as the 36ers concluded the 28-game regular season with 10 victories and 18 defeats.

Adelaide finished tied for seventh place with the Brisbane Bullets but missed out on a spot in the four-team playoffs after 21 rounds of the Australian league season.

Sotto had a rollercoaster campaign Down Under, having missed the early part of the season due to knee soreness.

He was used sparingly in his first few games but saw his minutes increased while playing a key part on the 36ers rotation.

Playing 23 games, Sotto averaged 7.5 points on 50-percent shooting with 4.5 rebounds while leading the team in blocks at 0.83 per contest.

Sotto scored in double figures seven times, including a season-high 21 in a 93-85 loss to the Bullets last April 11.

With the NBL season done, there are now questions as to whether Sotto will stick around for another year with the 36ers, entertain other overseas offers or enter the NBA draft.

36ers coach CJ Bruton said he expects Sotto to eventually make it to the NBA.
