Patrick Sugui explains KathNiel's absence at wedding

Actor Patrick Sugui has clarified speculations about the absence of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla at his recent wedding with Aeriel Garcia.

Recall that the four stars are part of Nguya Squad along with other celebrities and personalities like Dominic Roque, Ria Atayde, Marco Gumabao, Khalil Ramos, Gabbi Garcia, Joe Vargas, and Bianca Yanga.

Note that all the members sans KathNiel attended Patrick and Aeriel's nuptial.

Among those who uploaded behind-the-scenes photos was Gabbi, writing: "Pat & Ae’s wedding day nothing but overflowing love and joy for these two! @patsugui @aeriel ily both so much."

However, the comment section was bombarded with fan queries about Kathryn and Daniel's apparent absence, insinuating bad blood between the group.

Some even blamed Aeriel.

This prompted Gabbi to reiterate that her post is for the newlywed.

"mahiya naman po kayo," she told netizens.

Gabbi's boyfriend, Khalil, also interjected, commenting: "Respeto na lang guys eh. Mahirap ba ibigay yun?"

The bride, on the other hand, extended her gratitude to Gabbi, writing: "ILYSM!!!"

But another fan asked again why KathNiel weren't among attendees.

Patrick then set the record straight, pointing out: "pinagsasabi mo? Nasa lock in taping sila kaya wala sila. Nagmamarunong ka diyan? Close ka? Hanap ka ibang trip. Wag asawa ko."

Gabbi then reminded Patrick that an online user's comment is "not worth the stress!"

Patrick replied: "@gabbi diba? Ang saya saya namin, kakakasal lang. kahit sila happy for us, tapos sisihin asawa ko. Nyeee."

Then he added: "hanap ka nalang friends mo para di ka nangingielam sa grupo ng iba. Marami akong time ngayon, tapos na wedding planning o kaya alagaan mo nalang anak mo, di yung puro ka chismis."

He also slammed netizens disseminating misinformation.

The actor said: “really? Kasi po nasa bahay lang ako ni dj a week before the wedding (smiley face) ako pa nagpaalam sa director nila if pwede sila payagan kahit for 1 day lang (smiley face_ pero hindi talaga. And we understand. Bida sila sa show nila, sila ang pinakabusy.”

Recall that Kathryn and Daniel are busy doing their highly-anticipated teleserye comeback "2 Good 2 Be True."
