Over 100 sacks of garbage collected from Bulacan river during clean-up drive

Over 100 sacks of garbage were collected by Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) employees during a river clean-up drive in Barangays Sto. Cristo and Rosario in Paombong, Bulacan on Friday, April 22.

Lawyer Julius Victor C. Degala, who led the clean-up operation, said the activity was done in observance of the National Earth Day.

After the river clean-up drive in the said villages, BENRO employees proceeded to the Paombong Eco Park in Barangay San Isidro II where they planted over a hundred seedlings of guava and calamondin, as well as mangrove palms. (Freddie C. Velez)
