After Coachella, Sandara Park flies to Dubai, meets Pinoys

Sandara Park, or Dara, flew to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on April 22 for a schedule and met Filipinos upon her arrival.

Dara boarded her flight from Incheon International Airport to Dubai Friday night where she will film a show.

“I’m filming a travel show in Dubai!!!” Dara posted on Twitter on April 22.

She already arrived in Dubai and tweeted that her trip reminded her of the Filipino movie “Dubai.”

“Since I’m in Dubai, naalala ko ung movie na “Dubai” I want to watch it again hehe romantic. (Since I’m in Dubai, I remembered the movie ‘Dubai’ I want to watch it again hehe romantic),” she posted on Twitter.

“Dubai” was released in the Philippines in 2005 and starred Aga Muhlach, John Lloyd Cruz and Claudine Barretto.

Dara, whose showbiz career started in the Philippines before debuting in 2NE1 in 2009, said she already met Filipinos in Dubai.

“I’ve already met a lot of pinoy here in Dubai yesterday. I was so happy to see them kamusta?! And nagtagalog kami hehe (And we spoke in Tagalog hehe),” she said.

Dara’s flight to Dubai just came days after 2NE1 had a reunion performance at Coachella 2022 in California.

CL, Dara, Minzy and Park Bom surprised fans when they performed “I Am the Best” at Coachella on April 16 as part of 88rising’s Head in the Clouds Forever set.

Dara sported a hairstyle similar to “Dragon Ball” manga’s Vegeta character. During the performance, Dara lost her right shoe when she kicked. She later said she had already recovered the shoe.
