The police dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested five suspects in Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa on Friday, April 22.
Elements from the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, District Mobile Force Battalion, and Muntinlupa police’s Sub-station 4, launched a buy-bust operation at about 1 a.m. in Sitio Bagong Silang, Sucat.

The police identified the arrested suspects as Bobby Arceno, 34; Danny Abas, 26, construction worker; Angelito Andaya, 42, construction worker; Alejandro Hernandez, 31; and John Carl Tan, 25, massage therapist, all residents of Muntinlupa.
Also seized during the operation were eight plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 33 grams with a value of P224,400 and P500 buy-bust money.

The suspects were brought to the SPD for documentation and disposition and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“The success of the operation displays the unremitting commitment of the police to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs particularly in Southern Metro area,” said SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg.
